These are some of the dogs currently being fostered and awaiting adoption. Please remember that we will rehome the dog to the family that we feel is most suitable for the dog.

Not all the dogs we are fostering appear on this list as some are still being assessed and some are in need of long term fostering before they are ready for rehoming.

If you are interested in one of these dogs, please complete an adoption application form and submit it to us via email. (Form HERE)

Bella

ScreenShot010.jpg (54805 bytes)

Bella is a grey & white girl - about 12-18 months old. She came in as a stray, which is why we don't have much info on her. She had been left out in the owners garden most of the time and got out on several occasions and was picked up by the local dog warden. The owner didn't want her back so she came to us. She is finding it difficult fitting in with a pack, so she would probably be better off as an only dog. She is very loving and enjoys her cuddles.

Mia

Miarescue2.jpg (189921 bytes)

Mia came in to us in November -  undernourished, pregnant and suffering from acute pneumonia. Against all the odds, she survived, produced 6 stonking puppies (despite the vet at one stage thinking that they had all died in the womb) and has been the most amazing mum we have ever seen.

She is a leggy dark grey and white girl of slender build and would make a very fast running dog - and has taken well to running in harness with our dogs.
She is good with other dogs and usually incredibly laid-back (She let our old boy Raz guard the pups while she went out to the toilet, and she also let our other rescue foster Maya play with the pups with no issues at all).
She is a jumper and can clear 6 foot fences with ease so she will need a very secure home.
She is very affectionate, if a little lacking in confidence. When she sleeps next to you, she always hooks her front leg around your leg or arm just to maintain contact.

Cody

ScreenShot310.jpg (5259 bytes)

Cody is a three and a half year old Grey/White blue-eyed male. He has just been neutered and will be ready for rehoming as soon as he has recovered from the operation. He has spent most of his life as an only dog, but has been fostered with two other males without any major problems. He is a lovely friendly dog, loves cuddles and fussing but is big and strong and will need lead training.

Nikita (4)

ScreenShot313.jpg (89995 bytes)

Nikita came in to us heavily pregnant and in a poor condition. She was found in a Truck Stop covered in fleas and smelling really bad, she was very thin and at first we thought she was deaf as she had been beaten around the ear. Luckily her hearing returned as she healed. She is a white girl - probably between 2 and 3 years old.

At first she didn't trust men at all and was wary around most people.

She gave birth to 4 puppies 2 weeks after coming in to welfare - all healthy and gorgeous, she was a brilliant mother, would not like to leave them alone for too long and would cry with worry if someone picked them up.
She loves her cuddles especially at night on the bed she will quite happily fall asleep spooning or fall asleep with her head nuzzled in to your armpit. If you say "Nikita Cuddles" she will jump up on the bed or sofa and cuddle you.
She is a scrounger so no leaving food on the side or in the bin that she can get to (I think this is down to having to survive on the streets) She has put on weight nicely and is doing much better, even trusts men now.
She has a short coat and very coarse but again this is down to lack of goodness in her diet for however long she was on the streets.
She will talk to you which does sound like a growl but it is only talking she is not aggressive at all, she gets on well with othe dogs female and male.

Her new owner will have to be prepared to put in the effort with keeping her trust and giving her lots of love and attention, she is great to walk on the lead doesn't pull unless she sees a rabbit or squirrel, she has not worked in harness. She gets on well with children too.
She loves her squeaky toys and cries when they make the noise as when she was in labour she had a squeaky toy that got her through the pain and its her comfort thing.
